Botox™ can clear years from your face in a procedure that takes a matter of minutes. Botox™ is a safe, and virtually non-invasive procedure. Botox™ can decrease the strength and action of the upper facial muscles. By relaxing these muscles, the overlying frown lines, glabeller wrinkles, squint lines, crow’s feet, nasal crunch lines, and horizontal forehead wrinkles becomes relaxed.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE?

Take a few minutes. No anesthesia is required, as it injects a very fine needle to specific muscles causing only mild discomfort. The effect takes to manifest between 4 days to 2 weeks.

Indicated Stop drinking and anti-inflammatory aspirin 2 days before the procedure to avoid bruising.

HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT OF BOTOX?

The effect lasts on average 6 months, because the muscular action gradually recovering and the lines reappear, though more subtle because the muscle gets used to not shrink.

What are the side effects of Botox?

This is a very safe procedure. In rare cases bruising may occur at the injection site and headache, which resolves within 24-48 hrs.

A small percentage of patients may develop eyelid ptosis (drooping eyelid), which resolved in 3 weeks. This phenomenon is caused by migration of botulinum toxin to the levator muscle of upper eyelid, which is situated within the orbit of the eye. For this reason the patient is asked not to rub the area 12 hours after injection.
